Under our flat-fee repair program, one price covers whatever is
wrong with your TiVo.** It also includes the cost of shipping from
us back to you! The repair is warranted for 90-days (subject to
our standard warranty terms and conditions).
Here's how the repair process works:
- Add the repair service to your cart and check out. Please provide
a complete description of the problem on the final order page,
just below the credit card information. Providing this information
will help expedite your repair.
- Once we receive your order, we will email shipping instructions
(what, where and how to ship your TiVo, as well as a repair authorization
number). You are responsible for shipping the unit to us; we will
cover the return ground shipping costs. (Please use good padding
if you don't have the original box!)
- We receive the unit, diagnose the problem, repair it and return
the unit to you. This process typically takes about 1-3 business
days. We will email the UPS tracking number on the evening that
the repair is complete. If at any time you'd like a status update
on your repair, simply email us with
your repair authorization number and a request for the status
of your repair.
- NOTE: Weaknees is not an authorized repair center for TiVo,
Inc. While we have been selling and repairing TiVo DVRs since
2001 and have countless satisfied customers,
our repairs are not approved, authorized, or otherwise warranted
by TiVo. If your unit is less than a year old and is still under
warranty from TiVo, our repair work may void your remaining TiVo
warranty.
- **If a drive replacement is needed, WeaKnees will install a
drive equal to or larger than the original drive in this unit.
If the unit has been upgraded, upgraded capacity will be lost
unless an appropriate upgrade is chosen above.
- In some cases, we are unable to repair certain DirecTV TiVo DVRs. In those instances, a replacement unit with the same features and capacity and a new access card will be offered for an additional $50, or the unrepairable unit will be returned with no charge whatsoever. Customer is not reimbursed for shipping to WeaKnees.
*DirecTV DVRs and Series3 TiVos (in HD) record digital broadcast streams and all compression is determined by the broadcaster, so hours stated are estimates assuming average compression. Standard Definition TiVo DVR and TiVo Upgrade Kit capacities are stated at Basic Quality. All capacities may vary due to hard drive models used. Capacities are guaranteed to be within 5% larger
or smaller of stated size. Email with any questions.
