The TiVo brand Series 2 Dual Tuner (DT) model is ideal for almost any standard definition environment. This unit can record from multiple sources including cable (with or without a cable box) and satellite (with a DirecTV or DISH receiver). More info in our TiVo Dual Tuner FAQ. |
Series 2 with DVD
|
Made by Humax in partnership with TiVo, these units can record to DVD either from the Now Playing List or from external video sources such as video cameras. The TiVo side can record from these input sources: antenna, cable without a box, cable with a box, or satellite with a satellite receiver. This unit can get lifetime service for $399. |
Series 3 HD
|
The TiVo Series3 HD is the first TiVo that works with HD for cable users, using CableCARD technology. It can also record from antenna broadcasts (both analog and digital) and has many advanced features including THX certification. |
TiVo HD
|
The new TiVo HD is a less-expensive HD TiVo for cable and/or antenna users. Using the same CableCARD technology as the Series3, but starting with less capacity, it's a great box for any HD situation. |
