This amazing device allows you to stream and even copy recordings from your DIRECTV DVR to your phone/tablet/laptop and desktop computer!

Formerly called the DIRECTV Nomad, this unit sits on your network and converts shows that you've selected from networked DVRs into a format that can be used on your devices. You can stream content right away, or have a show fully converted and copied to your device. You install the correct app for the operating system on your device, link it to the GenieGO, and choose your shows.

Installation and Compatibility

The DIRECTV GenieGO 2 is even easier to install. And it doesn't even need to be in your living room. It just needs to be connected to the same network as your DIRECTV system. Just use an extra SWM port on your splitter, or even use the SWM splitter and coax link included with the GenieGO 2! Optionally, you can connect it to your ethernet network (ethernet cable NOT included).

The GenieGO app that you install on your device can receive almost anything on your DIRECTV DVR! The only exceptions are PayPerView, VideoOnDemand, and 3D recordings.

Requirements for the GenieGO 2:

The GenieGO 2 requires at least one of these DVRs, and can only copy shows from these DVRs (note: this does work with DVRs older than the Genies):

• R22 (standard definition DVR)
• HR20, HR21, HR21 Pro, HR22, HR23, HR24 (HD DVRs)
• HR34, HR44, HR54(Genie DVRs)
• NOT compatible with THR22 TiVo

Several GenieGO apps are available, for these systems:

• iOS (iOS version 4.2.1 or later required)
• Android
• Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, or XP
• Mac OS X version 10.7 or later

The GenieGO 2 offers 16 GB of storage space.
