OTA Antenna and HD ATSC Broadcast Information

There are some great reasons to use an OTA (over-the-air) antenna in the US and Canada!

• Antenna reception is free! You don't need cable or satellite service to receive OTA channels.
• Quality is amazing! Because the FCC has given so much bandwidth to traditional broadcast channels, these channels are able to broadcast signals that have far less compression that cable and satellite broadcasters. The difference is very noticeable.
• Many channels are ONLY available via OTA. Sub-channels of major broadcasters and channels directed toward smaller groups in big cities (generally non-English channels) may only be available via OTA.
• Get ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS, PBS and more all for free, depending on your exact location.
• In many cases, there are advantages to combining paid cable or satellite service with free OTA HD service.

The antennas below will connect directly to most HD TVs, and the HD TV can then run a channel search to learn what channels you can pick up.

• Refurbished HD TiVo DVRs with Prepaid Lifetime Service: Great for cord-cutters or anyone else looking to watch and record HDTV, with no monthly fees going forward. Set up one of these units with an HD antenna and you're done! (Current stock of these units varies from time to time. Only Series3 and Series4 units will support direct connections to OTA antennas.)
• Brand new TiVo Premiere DVRs: We sell these units brand new. All of the TiVo Premieres we stock can record two OTA signals at once. These units will require paid monthly or lifetime service from TiVo.
• Brand new TiVo Roamio DVRs: The base model of the TiVo Roamio we stock will receive and record up to four OTA signals at once. These units will require paid monthly or lifetime service from TiVo.
• DIRECTV DVRs: We sell the DIRECTV AM21 (AM is for 'antenna module'). This plugs in to these DIRECTV HD DVRs: HR21-HR24, the HR34 and HR44 Genies, and the TiVo THR22. This unit is great - the OTA channels you will receive get fully integrated with the DIRECTV channels, and you get one unified guide. There are no additional monthly fees to use this component, beyond the monthly fees you are already paying to DIRECTV. (NOTE: This item is now discontinued.)

	Mohu Leaf 30: Indoor, paper-thin antenna for receiving over-the-air broadcasts. Generally receives signals from up to 30 miles away. One side is black, one side is white - mount it either way to match your environment. $49.99
