This TiVo Upgrade Kit is easy to install.

Everything is included with the kit, except a Phillips screwdriver (not needed for all kits). The instructions are available online for you to preview.

This Upgrade has NO effect on your TiVo Lifetime/Monthly Service

Your TiVo service is tied to your TiVo serial number, which is located in a chip on your motherboard. Changing TiVo drives does not in any way affect your TiVo service.

This Upgrade has NO effect on your TiVo HMO (Home Media Option)

Your HMO is also tied to your TiVo serial number. Changing TiVo drives does not in any way affect your TiVo HMO - it will be enabled on the new drive after one connection.
