The HDR312 (without an 01, 02, 03 or 04 after the model number) is a two-drive unit and this upgrade will not work for that unit.

Everything is included with the kit, except a Phillips screwdriver (not needed for all kits). The instructions are available online for you to preview.

This Upgrade has NO effect on your TiVo Lifetime/Monthly Service

Your TiVo service is tied to your TiVo serial number, which is located in a chip on your motherboard. Changing TiVo drives does not in any way affect your TiVo service.

This ADD type upgrade kit will only work on stock TiVos - TiVos that are running their original hard drive, without capacity modification. If you have already upgraded your TiVo with a new A drive or REPLACE kit, and want to add a second drive email us about adding to your existing capacity (you'd need to send us your current drive).
